Welcome to Wellness Healing Arts online
Samantha began practicing Tai Chi in 2005 and has been teaching since 2011, when she began assisting in and covering her teacher's classes for learning disabled folks. Since then, Samantha has taught a diverse range of people both in person and online. "In 2011 I became an assistant/cover teacher, in my teacher's seated class for learning disabled folk. This is when I fell in love with chair-based Tai Chi. In the years that followed, I have taught a wide range of people and I have been privileged to witness the benefits that Tai Chi practice has brought in to their lives."
Samantha specialises in teaching gentle, accessible and seated Tai Chi. There is a strong focus on accessibility, pacing and adaptation in the sessions which aim to foster relaxation, stress reduction and gentle mindful movement.
Samantha is First Aid trained, has an enhanced DBS and is insured to teach Tai Chi.
Samantha is an instructor member of the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain.

"Our sessions focus on alignment, connection to the ground, centring and deep, relaxed breathing. I offer plenty of gentle guidance to help students remain aligned, focused and mindfully aware."

What can you expect during a seated Tai Chi Session?
Join us for a relaxed, gentle, entirely seated session. We foster a meditative, healing focus during our sessions. Samantha provides supportive verbal guidance to facilitate mindful focus.
Bringing our bodies in to alignment with gravity while establishing a soft yet supportive structure. We centre mind and body, connecting deeply with the ground beneath us. Guiding our focus to our breath, we gently encourage it to slow down and softly deepen.
Then on to some gentle warm-up movements, followed by our seated Tai Chi form. Allowing the body to soften, our arms float softly through the air, while we stay grounded and centred. We continue to practice deep, relaxed breathing.
Finishing with some gentle tapping to release any residual tension, we end by returning to a mindful awareness of our breath.
